Summer Reads
The sun is shining, it is warm, the World Cup is on and the cricket season is underway – its Summer! So of course, the summer reading lists are out. The first is the Richard and Judy list. I often enjoy the books on their list, so I am eager to try some!
Past Imperfect by Julian Fellowes
Guernica by Dave Boling
Palace Council by Stephen L Carter
Mr Toppit by Charles Elton
The Great Lover by Jill Dawson
Mystery Man by Bateman
The Senator’s Wife by Sue Miller
The Piano Teacher by Janice Y K Lee – this one I have already read, and yes I enjoyed it!
And the choices from The TV Book Club are:
The Help by Kathryn Stockett
The Man Who Disappeared by Clare Morrall
The Legacy by Katherine Webb
The Bed I Made by Lucie Whitehouse
Stone’s Fall by Iain Pears
Ellis Island by Kate Kerrigan
The Devil’s Acre by Matthew Plampin
The Weight of Silence by Heather Gudenkauf
So what do you plan to read?!
Hi, I recently read ‘Stone’s Fall’ by Iain Pears and I thought it was excellent. One that I’m looking forward to reading is ‘The Legacy’ by Katherine Webb, I love the cover, this was on my wish list before the Summer Reads came out so I’d like to hear what they think about it. I also want to read ‘The Help’ as I’ve heard lots of good things about it.
Oh, I love summer reading lists! You have so many good choices. How will you choose which to read first?
I’m thinking of reading The Senator’s Wife first. I really want to read The Legacy too. You fancy any of them?
