Book News: Gaiman wins children’s book prize

Well done Neil Gaiman! He has made history by being the first author to win both the UK and the US awards for children’s books. A while back Gaiman discovered he had won the Newbery Medal for his book The Graveyard Book but yesterday he won the Cilip Carnegie Award also. He told BBC Breakfast this morning that he had been wanting to win this since he was 7! Well good for him, especially as he is the only author to win both prestigious awards.

Here is the tailor for the book:

Graveyard Book

Again, well done Neil! I can’t wait to read this.
