I’m currently reading Last Chance by Sarah Dessen. I am trying to work my way through all her books, I love them! This one is an older novel that she has written and is shorter than her other works. The story is about Colie, a girl who has never settled in one place long enough to have friends, but this summer her mother, now famous, is off touring Europe so she is sent to North Carolina to stay with her slightly eccentric aunt. Here she gets a job, makes friends and life gets better 🙂 This is a young adult book but I’m a twenty-something who loves this author! She writes characters who I like and storylines that are gripping. She is well worth reading 🙂

  2. I’m going to check out this author! I never really thought I could get into YA, being almost in my 30’s (aah!) but I recently read a YA book that I enjoyed so I’m looking for more authors who also appeal to adults.

  4. I’m currently reading The Shack with my book club. It’s the NYT bestseller about a man who meets God face to face in a shack for a weekend, after suffering tragedy and Watercolored Pearls by Stacy Hawkins Adams, a Christian fiction novel.

    I love Sarah Dessen’s books, and I liked Last Chance a lot (here is called Keeping the Moon), I think it’s one of the lighter stories she has written.

  26. Hi there! Hope you enjoyed the hop, I know I did. You have some great books to read. I just finished ‘Wizard of Oz’ for the Rory Gilmore challenge (which I learned about from you) so I happy with that!
