Book Blogger Hop and Follow Friday
It’s Friday, and time for the Hop! To join in and read the rules hop over to Crazy For Books! This week’s question is:
“What do you consider the most important in a story: the plot or the characters?”
Probably the plot. That, and usually the cover are what draw me to a book. I can often read put up with annoying characters if the plot is good and I have a desire to find out what happens.
Follow Friday is hosted by Parajunkee. Head over there to find out more! The guest blog this week is Rabid Reads – don’t forget to check the site out! This week’s question is:
What did you study in college, or are currently studying and did it lead to your current 9 to 5 or are you doing something totally different?
I studied history at university, thinking I would go into museum work. However, part way through the course I fell out of love with history – except now for novels and TV dramas! I finished my degree with a 2:1 but am currently serving my church for a year, mainly doing admin for our communications department. Oddly, I actually really enjoy it, and this is such a worthwhile year 🙂
Thanks for dropping by! Do look round and leave some comments. Let me know who you are and where I can visit you!
Hi, Katie! Old follower here, just dropping by from the hop. 🙂 Glad to hear you’re happy with what you’re doing in your church now. Cheers!
Have a nice weekend!

Stopping by to say Hi! I choose plot as well, but went back and forth about twenty-seven times. Hope you continue to enjoy working at your church! Stop by and say hi when you get a chance!
That’s great that you are working in your church. Have a great weekend 🙂
I can’t put up with annoying characters. Well, I guess I do in a way; I’ll finish the book. But if the characters stink, my review is going to reflect that… and it probably won’t be very favourable.
Characters are more important to me than plot.
I would love to work in a museum, I love history too. Good luck with your degree and hope you have a happy holiday.
My Follow Friday/Book Blogger Hop
This might be the best Book Blogger Hop question I’ve seen to date.
So what’s the answer? Plot! Hop over to my blog and let me tell you how a good plot rescued bad characters from bad book oblivion.
